Cookie Policy

Last Updated: October 22, 2026

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies the Horos Legal site uses, what each category is for, and how you can control them.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. They let the site remember something between page loads — that you are signed in, for example, or that you prefer the light theme. Similar technologies such as local storage work the same way for our purposes, and this policy covers both.

2. What This Site Uses

We keep this short on purpose. The site currently uses strictly necessary cookies and analytics cookies, and one preference value. The sections below describe each. Where a category is not in use, we say so rather than describe something we do not do.

3. Strictly Necessary

These are required for the service to work and cannot be switched off through the site. They cover signing in and keeping a session, storing your authentication token, and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. Without them, signing in or analysing a document would not be possible.

4. Analytics

We use analytics to understand how the product is used in aggregate — whether a visitor creates an account, whether they run a first analysis, and whether a checkout completes. This tells us which parts of the product work and which do not. Analytics data is reported to us in aggregate; we do not use it to build an advertising profile of you, and we do not sell it.

We record product events, not the contents of your documents. Your uploaded documents are handled under the Privacy Policy, not this one.

5. Preferences

A single value is stored in your browser to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme. It is stored locally on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser storage resets it to the default.

6. Marketing

This site does not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any such cookie is set, and the change will be reflected in the Last Updated date above.

7. Third-Party Cookies

Some functions are provided by third parties who may set their own cookies — for example our analytics provider and our payment processor, which sets cookies needed to complete a checkout securely. Those cookies are governed by the respective provider’s own policy.

8. Controlling Cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, usually under a Privacy or Security section of its settings. You can also browse in a private window, which discards cookies when you close it.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and from using the analysis features. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect how the product works for you.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
